Born in a living room,
grown into a movement
Kvartirnik started the way all real things do — without a plan. In the winter of 2023, a handful of friends crammed into a flat in the old town, someone picked up a guitar, someone else read a poem, and a tradition was born.
The name says it all. Kvartira means apartment. A kvartirnik was the underground apartment concert of Soviet-era dissidents — intimate, unofficial, alive. We took the spirit and built it into something that could breathe in the open.

Three friends called their friend, and that’s how the first Kvartirnik was born.

Kvartirnik Venue
More people are coming, and there's less room in the living room. So we moved into our local.
